Cabin crew

PNC (Cabin crew) or PC (Cabin Crew) are generally referred to as Cabin Crew, Flight Attendants or Flight Attendants. To enter this profession you need specific training, provided by various schools certified by the Civil Aviation Authority in Portugal, ANAC.

In these courses, students are properly trained to carry out various duties on board aircraft within the scope of their profession, such as maintaining and promoting the comfort and safety of passengers and acting in the event of an emergency.

Cabin crew courses are taught face-to-face, except in extraordinary circumstances that make face-to-face training impossible, such as the current lockdown due to COVID-19.

Initial Cabin Crew Course has an average duration of 4 weeks and is divided into theoretical and practical classes, the latter simulating various emergency situations, training all the manoeuvres and techniques in the event of an evacuation.

The general prerequisites for applying for a Cabin Crew course are normally a 12th grade education, a command of the English language, the ability to swim, good physical shape and good looks.
